Product Overview
A Swivel is a mechanical device used on a drilling rig that hangs directly under the traveling block and directly above the kelly drive, that provides the ability for the kelly (and subsequently the drill string) to rotate while allowing the traveling block to remain in a stationary rotational position (yet allow vertical movement up and down the ) while simultaneously allowing the introduction of drilling fluid into the drill string.
Swivel has two categories, common swivel and double duty swivel. Double duty swivel is common swivel combined with spinner. With standard bails and double pin alloy steel sub. The gooseneck of the drilling rig swivel is provided with an outlet for wire line logging. With standard gooseneck joints, threads are in compliance with API Spec. 5B. Wash pipe packing set assembly adopts cassette structure. It can be exchanged quickly without disassemble rotary hose and gooseneck.

- Ordinary Swivels are mainly composed of lifting ring, gooseneck tube, packing device, shell, central tube main bearing and joints.
- The flushing pipe packing assembly adopts a box structure, which can be quickly replaced on the drill floor without removing the hose and gooseneck.
- The lower joint is connected to the kelly rod through the standard thread, and the upper lifting ring is hooked. The neck tube and the hose can be connected by a standard threaded joint union as required.
- The Swive lcomplies with the American Petroleum Institute APLSpec 8c PSL1 product specification.
